History of the Home/Area:
"Prospect Place" was the home of the George Willison Adams family of Dresden, Ohio, in the 19th & 20th centuries. This structure is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is currently in the process of being restored. In the 1850s and 1860s the house was a station on the "Underground Railroad". Although a few fine homes remain in Dresden from this era, Prospect Place is the last remaining Dresden area mansion (There were five: Prospect Place; River Dale; Mulberry Grove; Maple Hollow and Elm Grove), the others have met the fate of time and neglect and are no more. These were the homes of the "Lords of the Valley", men of great influence and wealth who helped tame a new land and create a community.

Information Collected
Investigation Summery:
This was a 'pay to investigate' location. All of the money collected goes to the The G. W. Adams Educational Center, Inc a 501(c)3 company. The location had several rooms that were off limit due to construction. From the tour that we were given, the locations that were closed seemed to also radiate some of the highest energy, i.e. the sick room. If you are planing on doing a scientific investigation of the location I would suggest that you ask the tour guide to not disclose alleged paranormal activity from the locations. I feel that too much information was given and it could lead to a tainted investigation. |
Personal Experiences:
We had several personal experiences that ranged from voices being heard, foot steps in rooms that had no entry other than one door, reports of being touched, one person reported they thought they saw a shadow walk by them. Surprisingly enough, no one reported any feelings of uneasiness in the areas that we were allowed to investigate. |
Video Findings:
While video recording and photographing in the ballroom three investigators had issues with the cameras straying out of focus. All three cameras seemed to want to focus in the middle of the room:
